MATHIAS GOETHALS
Mathias Goethals (BE) was als kind gefascineerd door gymnastiek, met als hoogtepunt in zijn carrière World Tumbling Championships (Sofia, 2018). Naarmate zijn gymnastiekcarrière vorderde, begon hij echter creativiteit en fantasie te missen. Hij schoolde zich om tot circusartiest.
Mathias voelde zich als herboren toen hij de disciplines luchtacrobatie en hand balanceren ontdekte. Zijn eerste solo-act ‘We Could Be Almost Invincible In Our Vulnerability’ is zijn eerste voorstelling als volwaardig circusartiest.

‘We could be almost invincible in our vulnerability’ is een intieme voorstelling dat onder de huid kruipt.
Centraal in de voorstelling staat de puurheid en fragiliteit van de persoon an sich. Het streven naar de puurste versie van jezelf, zonder je te verliezen in tal van impulsen en triggers.
